The cryptic titles are creative treatments of various Bach works - 'Canon sequence(d)’ is the BWV1072-8 canon group, and 'Bach-werk' a blend of various C minor keyboard pieces in the style of Kraftwerk.

Here is something completely different: JS Bach played on Moog synthesizers. These four baroque specialists comprise – with technology – Art of Moog, in a varied, inventive and respectful recital, giving the great composer’s music fresh perspective.

Robin says: “In the ‘day job’ Art of Moog’s musicians can be found playing with the best period instrument and modern orchestras. Here they swap harpsichord, organ, recorder & flute for cutting edge synthesizers, samplers & vocoders, to cast new light on works by Bach in unlocked electronic arrangements.” Robin points out that Bach himself always explored the technical boundaries of keyboard instruments of his time, so he would surely have approved.

As well as keyboards, they feature Annabel on the amazing EWI – electronic wind instrument, with a range of seven octaves & even more sound qualities. You may remember the classic LP of 1968 by Wendy Carlos Switched on Bach using Moog; this ensemble will take that concept even further. They include a wide range of Bach’s compositions: Preludes, Arias, Canons, Chorales, etc. Expect surprise and delight!
