John Wyatt
As a teenager John Wyatt won a place to study organ and piano at the Centre for Young Musicians in London and then went on to the Royal Academy of Music. He was Director of Music at Aldenham School and now conducts Harrow Philharmonic Choir and is Choral Director at St Mark’s Church, Cambridge.
Heather Toyn
Heather studied the piano from a young age with Ella Pounder, a student of the acclaimed pianist Solomon, and as a girl growing up in the North of England won many solo and duet piano prizes in local music festivals.
In 1977 she continued her studies at the Royal Academy of Music where she was awarded prizes for piano accompaniment and performed as an accompanist around the country. She also appeared on the BBC and ITV and has recorded for Richard Baker's 'Music for You'.
Heather taught the piano for several years at the Junior Department of the Royal Academy of Music. She became the Assistant Director of Music at Orley Farm School in 1997 and Director of Music in 2015.
Heather is now the co-founder of the G&T School of Performing Arts for children aged 4 to 16 and a self-employed musician.
Heather has been the accompanist for the Harrow Philharmonic Choir since 1989.
