David Gould & Anthony Pinching highlight some of the main works in PMF 2017, with musical excerpts. David explores Monteverdi’s pivotal Vespers of 1610. This great work was championed by Nadia Boulanger, who also taught many of the finest 20th C composers. Anthony outlines her vital influences. As a librettist himself, he also talks about the relationship between words & music with reference to the two song-cycles and choral works.
Please note that this free seminar will take place in Pinner Parish Church Hall.
