Introducing PMF 2019, we gain performers’ (& composer’s) insights – once again under Petroc’s skilful guidance – into some of the works to be featured during festival week. The Aurora Ensemble's programme will include the premiere of Russell Pascoe’s Keskan V, commissioned by PMF. Russell will talk about his new composition. Andrey Lebedev and Bartosz Glowacki look ahead to their recital of solos and duos for guitar and accordion, and Steven Doane will reflect on the great Cello Sonatas we shall hear in his programme.

Petroc Trelawny is one of the best-known voices on BBC Radio Three, presenting the acclaimed Breakfast programme. Last year was his 20th season introducing BBC Proms on radio and TV, and the week after PMF, he presents Cardiff Singer of the World for the 11th time!

A proud Cornishman, in his early career he broadcast in Hong Kong and was part of the launch team for Classic FM and London News Radio. He is President of the Lennox Berkeley Society, Luton Music, Three Spires Singers (Truro) & Trustee of BZAM, supporting the Zimbabwe Academy of Music (Bulawayo).
