PROGRAMME: 

Elizabeth has been a member of the congregation of Pinner Parish Church since the age of twelve and was a member of the choir for many years. Her long association with this festival started as a soloist aged sixteen. She studied with Kendall Taylor at the Royal College of Music and won an Austrian Government Scholarship to study in Vienna with Joseph Dichler. Since then, while continuing to perform as a soloist and accompanist, she has pursued a teaching career, both in schools and privately.
Catherine was born in Pinner and sang in the church choir for a number of years. She first studied violin with Jean Fiske, and went on to study at Cheetham’s School of Music and the Royal Academy of Music. Her other teachers have included David Takeno, Richard Deakin and Brien Stait. Recently, Catherine has given concerto performances at St John’s, Smith Square and at the St Jude’s Proms in London, undertaken a concert tour to New York with Sir Elton John, and Chamber music performances at St James’, Piccadilly, the Wigmore Hall and the Cheltenham Festival. Since 2006 she has been leader of the London Phoenix Orchestra. Teaching is an important part of Catherine’s career - both in Westminster School, and privately, with several students gaining scholarships at music colleges and Pro Corda’s International Chamber Music Academy. In 2005, she established the ‘Soundscapes’ chamber music series in Pinner.
Mark was a member of the church choir for ten years from the age of six. He started ‘cello when he was five and was a member of the National Children’s Orchestra and the National Youth Orchestra. He studied at the Royal Academy of Music with Mats Lidström and David Strange. Mark’s orchestral playing has been with the BBC Philharmonic, Royal Philharmonic and London Symphony Orchestras, and as principal cellist with the Royal Academy Soloists, the University of London Symphony Orchestra and Orion Orchestra. Chamber music is another interest and Mark plays with the Arnold Camerata. As a soloist he appears both as a recitalist and in concertos. In addition to all this he plays in CD recordings, broadcasts, short films and television documentaries.
